What to expect from our sessions
After our initial conversation, during which I will take your contact details, ask about your preferences for having therapeutic counselling in person, online, phone or outdoor therapeutic counselling, we will arrange our first session.
What you talk about is up to you. My role is to listen and reflect on what you share with me. There is no set agenda unless there is something specific you would like to focus on. You set the pace, and I will go with you.
How many sessions is also your decision, I offer ongoing support with no upper limit on sessions; you’re in control of how long we work together.
Sessions are 50 minutes on a one-to-one basis. On going sessions will be booked for the same time and day each week. At the beginning of our work weekly sessions are advisable to help build the therapeutic relationship between us.
Session Cost £60
Payment is via bank transfer at least 24 hours in advance of each session.
I will give you a contract for the sessions and offer you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about this before we both sign it.
To ensure the safety of my clients and myself, I have regular supervision as part of my membership of the BACP. I also have independent personal and professional insurance.

In person therapeutic counselling is held in my comfortable, private and confidential room at the side my house in Toddington.
There is parking on my drive and entrance is through the blue garage door. This a private and separate entrance directly into the room.

Online therapeutic counselling is offered via video link. I work from the same private and confidential room as in-person sessions. You can use a laptop, phone or tablet to connect. Working online enables us to connect irrespective of our geographical location and allows for flexibility in personal schedules.

Outdoor Therapeutic Counselling is conducted in a prearranged, risk-assessed outdoor location, taking into consideration personal mobility and environment.
