if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes. Confidentiality is a key part of the counselling relationship and helps create a safe, trusting space.
As a registered Member of the BACP, I follow strict ethical guidelines. I also work with a clinical supervisor (as required for all therapists), where I may reflect on our work without sharing identifying details.
The only exceptions to confidentiality are if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if required by law. Wherever possible, I will discuss this with you first.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, but I work with clients one-to-one and don’t see people accompanied by others.
A key part of the counselling process is having a space where you can speak freely, without concern for how it might affect someone else. Often, this allows you to express things you may have never said out loud before.
I provide therapeutic counselling services for adult individuals from 18 years old. There is no upper age for someone to begin their journey to living a fulfilled life.
Depending our mutual availability I hope arrange a first session within a couple of weeks of first contact.
Yes I do offer concessionary rates for trainee counsellors.
